Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson checked out some non-league football yesterday.
Ferguson took the short trip down the road to watch Macclesfield Town host National League leaders Forest Green.
The legendary former Manchester United boss stood in the stands at the Moss Rose to see the home side narrowly beaten 1-0 thanks to an early Keanu Marsh-Brown strike, with Rovers maintaining their seven-point advantage at the top.
Mid-table Macclesfield could have done with some of Fergie's old magic as a late goal alluded them despite piling on the pressure.
