Manchester United midfielder Devonte Redmond is delighted with his move to Scunthorpe United.
Redmond has joined Scunthorpe on-loan.
He said: "I'm happy to sign and can't wait to get going. I've been at United for a long time and I think now is the right time to come out and try to make a name for myself in the game and help Scunthorpe towards their aspirations this season. It's a good, ambitious club and a good league, so I want to test myself. I'm really looking forward to it.
"It's a big step for me, because I've been there for a long time and for the last couple of years I've been playing for the reserves. I've been building my way up and in the last few years I've made quite a few appearances. This is the next best step for me and I think it's really going to help me and hopefully Scunthorpe as well."
Redmond added: "I'm a midfield player. I like to get on the ball and get up and down the pitch. I like to dictate the play and hopefully I can chip in with a few goals and assists as well, as well as interceptions and winning the ball back."
