Tim Cahill has spoken out after making his first return to Millwallin 14 years after signing for the club two days before transfer deadline day.
The former Everton forward spent 7 years at the Den between 1997 and 2004, helping them reach the FA cup final in his final season before moving to the Toffees.
He said: "It feels amazing (to return). This was a big decision in my footballing career.
"To come home to where it all started is very special. From the opportunity the club gave me as a kid to now coming back to try and make an an impact for the team. I just want to enjoy it.
"I've had a couple of sessions with the team and it just feels like I have never left. The lads have been brilliant, the whole set up is the same and I am very thankful for the opportunity."
