Zenit striker Pogrebnyak wants England move - not Bolton, Blackburn

Zenit St Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is eyeing a move to a big Premiership club.

"I would like to play abroad and would prefer one of the strongest English teams," said Pogrebnyak, "There are variants to choose from."

Pogrebnyak, who played alongside Andrey Arshavin at Zenit St Petersburg, was targeted previously by Bolton and Blackburn - but he made it clear he is only keen to sign for one of the top four Premier League clubs.

He said: "I was puzzled when Zenit general director Maksim Mitrofanov said he was going to talk me into accepting Blackburn's offer in the winter transfer window.

"I could only laugh at it. Yes, I dream of playing in England - but I'm not interested in Blackburn who are struggling against relegation."
