Zambia's Kafue Celtic full of pride seeing graduates Daka (Leicester) and Mwepu (Brighton) in Prem

Patson Daka has been praised for his decision to join Leicester City.

The 23-year-old started out with Kafue Celtic, in his homeland of Zambia - and director Lee Kawanu helped structure the deal which took the forward to RB Salzburg in 2017.

A sell-on clause was included, with Kafue Celtic benefitting when the player went on to move to the King Power Stadium this year.

“Patson loves it at Leicester and Enock (Mwepu, a fellow graduate from Kafue Celtic) at Brighton," Kawanu told the Daily Mail.

“RB Salzburg is the best thing that could ever happen for both of them. And Leicester is the best team Patson could have gone to - the environment, the coach, the players like Jamie Vardy and James Maddison."

He added: “Hopefully we can show that Patson and Enock have not been a fluke.

“Players like them exist here and they just need the right environment.

“Both those players have made a huge difference. The bulk of what we have achieved comes from them."
