Wolves submit new evidence to PGMOL over disallowed Anfield goal

Wolves have written to referees chief Howard Webb regarding their disallowed goal in the FA Cup against Liverpool.

The Premier League side felt they had won their third-round tie at Anfield over the weekend.

However, a late strike from Toti Gomes was ruled out for a phantom offside by the on field assistant and then VAR.

Per The Mirror, footage of the incident and Wolves' questions have gone to the PGMOL this week.

Manager Julen Lopetegui said this week: "I have my opinion, we have sent our comments and we are waiting for an explanation."

He then added on their Wednesday Carabao Cup clash against Nottingham Forest: “We have the possibility to fight for a semi-final. I am sure the match is going to be much harder than Liverpool for sure and very different.

“We have to be ready to have different answers. We have to go to the bus knowing it is going to be a hard task. They have a very good squad and it will be a very different team. I am sure they will have big energy and commitment.

“In the Premier League, each squad has very good players because it is the best league in the world. But we have the ability to overcome a good team and are excited about this possibility."
