Former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has agreed to return to the club with immediate effect.
The Premier League newcomers are expected to fire boss Paul Heckingbottom.
A 5-0 defeat at the hands of fellow promoted club Burnley meant that Heckingbottom had to go.
Per The Mirror, the idea of bringing back Wilder is one that has been mooted for some time.
The club have been speaking to their former boss since September, talking to him about issues he previously had at the club.
They have been assured that Wilder has mellowed and is ready to make it work with his beloved Blades.
