Wigan Athletic are considering bringing in a Premier League player to bolster their squad.

Per The Times journalist Paul Joyce, Wigan are plotting a loan move for Liverpool left-back Luke Chambers.

The 19-year-old had an impressive spell last season at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

Even though the Reds are without senior left-backs Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, they will let Chambers go.

The club have brought back Owen Beck from Dundee to ensure they have enough cover.

Chambers is one who the club believe needs regular football at this moment.
