Manchester United are battling to shift out captain Harry Maguire.

United have made Maguire available this summer, with West Ham and Tottenham among clubs keen.

But the Guardian says Maguire's reluctance to take a cut on his United wages is proving an issue.

Maguire started only eight league games last season and manager Erik ten Hag has recommended his sale.

But the England defender will have to accept a major reduction on his wages if he is to join either West Ham or Spurs.
