Werner not ready to quit Chelsea - yet

Timo Werner is prepared to play out the season with Chelsea - before seeking a move away.

The Germany international has made just two Premier League starts so far this season and was an unused substitute in Wednesday's loss against Juventus, despite the fact the Blues were chasing the game for virtually the entire second half.

And what appears to be a new peripheral role for Werner is understood to be causing the German growing concern, says the Daily Mail.

Werner was keen to fight for his place in the Blues team despite a difficult first season at the club following a big money arrival from Red Bull Leipzig.

The signing of Romelu Lukaku has played a role in limiting Werner's game time this season, nevertheless the forward remains committed to making his Blues career a success.

However, if he continues to find himself on the fringes of Tuchel's plans, the 25-year-old is likely to assess his options ahead of next season.
