Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to trump Everton for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry. Barry will be leaving City on a free transfer this summer and Everton manager Roberto Martinez is anxious to sign Barry on a permanent basis.
But Arsenal boss Wenger is eyeing the situation - even though he is well covered in the holding midfield positions, says the Daily Star.
Wenger knows he will have to act quickly to secure Barry as Everton want to agree a deal now.
