Wenger advises Chelsea: Employ Hiddink permanently

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger feels Chelsea will not see the best of their interim boss Guus Hiddink unless they make his stay permanent. "I feel that he is an experienced manager and he has given them what he knows about the game - belief, strength," Wenger said to the club's official website ahead of the Gunners FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

"It is always difficult to assess on a short period of time. I believe if Hiddink stays for five years at Chelsea, he can certainly print his own way he sees the game into the club. On a short term, you try to have an impact but only on little things because you have to stay a longer period if you want to get your ways into the club.

"I rate him highly. When you come to his age and have survived in top level competition, you have quality.

"He is a very successful manager. But we want to express our strengths (on Saturday) and not concentrate on those of an opponent."
