Watford striker Isaac Success: I did join Malaga overweight

Watford striker Isaac Success has assured Malaga fans he still has much to offer.

Success arrived in January on-loan to the end of the season overweight and out of shape.

He told AS: "I have had a very difficult time in the English league (at Watford) because I had injuries that prevented me from playing at a good level.

"Coming to Malaga can mean I can recover again the love and the taste for football. This sport has these things. It offers you a new opportunity to play well. The pity is that there is not much time left to be able to help the team.

"The injuries forced me to do a lot of gym work, I could not train 100 per cent for a while and that is why, possibly, I had more weight on arrival."

Success added: "I really do not know why I did not have continuity with Watford. There have been changes of coach and each one of them had his ideas about who he wants to bring or select. That has hurt me."
