Watford defender Craig Dawson says their 0-0 draw with Tottenham was proof of their team spirit.

The Hornets could have won the game when they were awarded a penalty late on, but Paolo Gazzaniga denied Troy Deeney and they had to settle for the draw.

"It's definitely another point," he told the Watford Observer.

"Obviously Spurs are a great side and everybody worked very hard today to battle through the performance and it's a great clean sheet and we take the point and move onto the next one.

"I think it's the team spirit, everyone's working hard for each other, everyone's got each other's back and it's great to be involved and I think there's a competitiveness now for places which is good so everyone's working extremely hard."
