Javi Gracia is close to signing a new three-year contract extension with Watford.

The Spaniard took over from Marco Silva as manager in January and helped lead the Hornets to a 14th-place finish.

Watford have continued their good form under Gracia this season. The Hertfordshire club lie in eighth after six wins from 11 Premier League games.

Sky Sports report that Gracia is now being rewarded with a deal that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2020/2021.

Gracia is the 10th manager to be appointed under current Watford owners, the Pozzo family.
