Aston Villa signing Pau Torres broke down in tears in his farewell video to Villarreal and their fans.

Torres' move to Villa was rubberstamped today.

And in a filmed farewell, Torres became emotional discussing what Villarreal has meant to him.

"In the mind, many people, club workers, many colleagues, many technicians, friends who have stayed on the road... the journey has been very beautiful, it could hardly have been more. I'm leaving proud," Torres stated.

"Whenever I have played with the Villarreal shirt I have tried to do it in the best possible way. I am very grateful to the fans. From the first minute I noticed their affection. They have devoted themselves to me as a player and as a person and I will be eternally grateful, as to the club. To Fernando (Roig), to his son and to José Manuel (Llaneza), who is no longer here."
