Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has been included in the Wales squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Croatia. The former Swansea man is struggling with a shoulder injury which will require surgery, according to his club boss Brendan Rodgers.
Coach Chris Coleman said: "We have not heard anything from Liverpool, so we have selected him. We have not been told that anyone apart from Adam Mathews is not available, so we have selected Joe. We have to pick our strongest squad and Joe is part of it.'
