Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was left to rue the injury setbacks suffered by the Gunners in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Hull City.
The North London club lost Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista to injuries in an otherwise convincing performance at the KC Stadium on Tuesday night.
"Goals breed confidence personally but what is more important is that the team wins. It's all about the team tonight," Walcott said after firing a brace to send the Gunners into the quarter-finals.
"We got a clean sheet and that's always the first thing on everyone's list.
"We always know we're going to score goals but as we look back on a great night, the only disappointment is the injuries that we have had."
