Villarreal GM Jose Manuel Llaneza has confirmed talks with the agent of exciting Gremio attacker Douglas Costa.

Llaneza, back in Spain after a trip to Brazil, revealed: "It is true that I met with his agent, Cesar Bottega, and we talked about many things. These trips are used to learn about situations and to take control of some players.

"We like to see players up close, which is why we do these trips."
