Villarreal coach Pacheta was delighted with a debut win against Almeria.
The Yellow Submarine produced a spirited performance for the 2-1 triumph, earned by an injury-time winner from Alexander Sorloth.
Pacheta later said: “They put in a great effort. They ran a lot and we achieved an epic victory. The victory is good for us to improve, but we have to keep working, adjust many things that will make us grow and give continuity to the things we have done well.
“They (Almeria) deserved more. They made us suffer and caused us problems. The result was cruel for them because they put in a very good performance."
He continued: “I'm really happy and even more so today with the win. We needed this victory. As soon as we have more confidence in attack, we will see more things. We haven't been good in the duels. We weren't good at pressing either. We ran a lot, but we didn't always do it well.
"This match is good for us to analyse our mistakes, correct and adjust things."
