Villarreal coach Marcelino wary of Copa debut against Zamora

Villarreal coach Marcelino hopes for a winning start when they meet Zamora in the Copa del Rey today.

Marcelino will make his second debut as Villarreal coach in the Copa on Wednesday.

He said, "They were first in the Segunda Federacion until this weekend, and has only lost two games. It is difficult to score goals against them and they've kept a clean sheet in 10 games.

"It doesn't score many but wins because it is effective and competitive. It has eliminated a higher category team like Racing. All this should lead us to have the utmost respect. The number of goals conceded must be corrected.

"We will try to keep a clean sheet in this first match and be effective in attack

"What motivates me is being coach of Villarreal again. I have the feeling that I returned home because the welcome was exquisite. These days have been idyllic and I hope that the return to competition will be as well.

"But the dynamic is not what we all want. A difficult job awaits us and we cannot generate false expectations because reality is what it is. "The immediate objective is to be a team that is difficult to win in any competition."
