Villarreal coach Emery happy with Champions League form ahead of Young Boys clash

Villarreal coach Unai Emery says they need to stay calm ahead of facing Champions League opponents Young Boys.

Villarreal go into the game on the back of a heavy defeat to Valencia.

Emery said, “We need to know how to distinguish between the different competitions. In the Champions League, we had a convincing win last time out and we looked good against Young Boys. We had an interesting draw against Atalanta and we put in a great performance against Manchester United, but we were unable to get a win. We went to Bern with the aim of getting our first win and we did that.

“If we win our match tomorrow, we'll be second at least, and we could even be first. That's the challenge, and that's the context we have going into the game against Young Boys.

“We need to stop making big tactical errors, both collectively and individually. We're on a run that we want to break tomorrow and get into good form in the Champions League."
