Manchester United star Scott McTominay scoring the winner against Aston Villa did not surprise one player on the field that day.

His international teammate John McGinn, who plays for Villa, knows all about McTominay's quality.

The midfielder rose highest to head home a Diogo Dalot cross to win the game for United by a 2-1 scoreline.

“He is so athletic and he gets in the box and hits the ball harder than anyone I have ever played with," Villa captain McGinn said of McTominay in a previous interview.

“It's no surprise he is getting goals. As long as he slows down just a wee bit!"

Villa are still five points ahead of United in the Premier League, while they are adrift of Tottenham by a single point.
