Vieri slams Man Utd coaching for Lukaku after Inter Milan success

Italy World Cup striker Christian Vieri isn't surprised Manchester United didn't see the best of Romelu Lukaku.

Vieri hit out at the coaching in England when considering Lukaku's influence on Inter's Scudetto winning campaign this season.

Via TMW, Vieri said on his Twitch channel Bobo TV, "I have always said that Lukaku was overweight in England. On the other hand, players don't train in the Premier League like here, they don't train as under (Antonio) Conte's orders."

Indeed, Vieri says the improvement Italian football has seen from Lukaku is a credit to the fitness and nutrition staff at Inter. Vieri sees Lukaku now as unstoppable given his peak physical condition.

He continued, "At Inter, Romelu he lost fat and gained mass, he grew physically and muscularly. These two years with the Nerazzurri have been devastating, Lukaku is now impregnable."

Over his two seasons with the Nerazzurri, Lukaku has been a revelation. He has scored 62 goals in 91 games, while also producing nine assists. The Belgium international has helped Inter win their first Serie A title in over ten years.

Vieri, meanwhile, was one of the most fearsome centre-forwards of his era. In a career which included spells with Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid, the former Italy striker scored 236 goals in 475 club games.
