The one-time England representative is currently on a short-term deal with A-League club Newcastle Jets after an extensive career in his homeland.

Jeffers, a lifelong Everton supporter, told us his feelings when he joined his beloved Toffees before getting a big-money move to Arsenal under Arsene Wenger.

The 29-year old then found himself back at Goodison Park on loan before his career took him to Charlton Athletic, Scottish giants Rangers, Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday.

He spoke to tribal about plenty of other things that have happened in his career and what the future holds for him.
