Manchester United's Raphael Varane sent a message to his teammates after a thrilling win over Villarreal.

The Red Devils were far from their best against the battling Spanish side, who created the best of the chances for most of the contest.

However, poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping from David De Gea kept United in the game.

Despite going behind, they turned around the contest through goals from Alex Telles and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a post on Instagram, Varane wrote: "We need to always believe!!"

Captain Harry Magiure, who missed the game through injury, wrote: "HUGE win."
