Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is set to start against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.

The Daily Star says he will be handed the chance to push his claims for an Old Trafford future on Saturday.

The Dutch superstar hasn't started a game for Manchester United since a 2-1 defeat at Swansea on February 21.

But after shaking off an ankle injury and scoring twice for the under-21s at Fulham on Tuesday, the striker is set to replace Wayne Rooney against West Brom on Saturday.
