Van Gaal tells Man Utd he wants Bayern Munich's Robben

Incoming Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to bring Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben to Old Trafford. The Guardian reports Van Gaal has put together an A, B and C list of desired players which he has given to chief executive Ed Woodward. Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller joins Robben among them.

Robben has enjoyed a three-year spell in England before with Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles.

He is now 30 but is still tearing apart defences for Bayern Munich.

Van Gaal will work with Robben at the World Cup in his role as Holland boss.
