Former Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart is adamant Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is a match for Harry Maguire.

Van der Vaart isn't convinced by the hype around the Manchester United defender.

And he told Ziggo Sport: "These prices nowadays ... I was a guest at Sky Sports last week for Tottenham - Aston Villa and then they started on about Harry Maguire.

“They pretended to be talking about Cristiano Ronaldo. But we have seen him against the Netherlands and I said that I think he couldn't take it. But they really think he's a top defender.

"If you compare him then Aké is also worth €75m."
