Valencia midfielder Nico Gonzalez is facing two months on the sidelines.

The on-loan Barcelona midfielder suffered a foot fracture during defeat at Villarreal last week.

And Los Che medical chiefs have since announced Nico will be out for two months as he recovers. It has not been ruled out that he will undergo surgery.

Nico suffered the injury in a challenge with Villarreal veteran Raul Albiol.

It's a blow for Valencia, which face a busy schedule, with a maximum of nine games in 30 days, including a trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
