Valencia defender Gabriel Paulista is eager to step up plans of turning out for Spain.

The Brazilian has publicly declared he wishes to play for La Roja ahead of next year's Euros.

And El Larguero says Gabriel has already held talks with the Spanish Federation about what is required for him to be eligible for selection.

The defender is now in the process of securing his Spanish passport.

The intention is to have the papers ready for the month of January and thus be available for the March squad selection list ahead of the Euros.
