Valencia coach Baraja tells Real Madrid and Vini Jr: Respect should be mutual

Valencia coach Ruben Baraja defended home fans after victory over Real Madrid.

Los Che won 1-0 thanks to Diego Lopez's goal as Vini Jr was sent off late on and subject of racist chants from the home support.

Baraja later said: "If a situation has arisen, we will investigate.

"We are a respectable club and supporters. We ask respect for our fans, it may have been a few individuals, but not 46,000 people. This controversy does not make us enjoy the moment. It's not good for Real or Valencia.

"If we demand respect, we have to do it both ways. These situations can be avoided with mutual respect.

"Today it was Diego Lopez who was lucky enough to score the goal. I'm happy for the young players because they're helping the team, they're decisive with the goals they're scoring and it's also important in terms of points. I'm happy, but in a contained way. We have to celebrate but already thinking about Mallorca."
