Valencia coach Ruben Baraja hailed matchwinner Hugo Duro after victory over Athletic Bilbao.

Duro scored the only goal of the game on the day.

Baraja said, "It's true that when a coach puts you in, he gives you confidence. But he makes the change in terms of attitude, in terms of wanting, in believing in his possibilities.

"He has been sensational, not only because of the goal. He has fought like a wild boar, he has been outstanding.

"You have to reinforce him so that he continues believing. The goal was beautiful. Hugo deserves it because his work infects the rest of us."

He added: "The point is to work, insist and enjoy this moment. We must be proud of how we have worked this game. It's a moment to enjoy and be happy."
