Valencia coach Ruben Baraja was delighted after their 2-1 win at Sevilla for Friday's LaLiga opener.
Los Che won thanks to goals from Mouctar Diakhaby and Javi Guerra.
Baraja said: "It was a very complete team performance. We were able to maintain the intensity and rhythm that we had to have in the game and withstood some situations that arose when it was 1-1 and Sevilla pushed. We have to be very happy with the result and the effort; we took a big reward at a very difficult ground, against a Sevilla that push a lot. We are happy with the result.
"I still think the same as I thought after the Trofeo Naranja, and my opinion hasn't changed. We had a good game but the season is long and demanding.
"Now, after the victory, I still think that we need to strengthen in positions and the club are working on it. I still think the same way. It is what we need to achieve the goal we set for ourselves. The market is open and I hope we can reinforce the team where we need."
