Valencia captain Jose Luis Gaya was seen telling teammate Mouctar Diakhaby not to apologise to home fans after defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

VCF lost 2-1 on Sunday at the Mestalla.

And at the final whistle several of Valencia's players, including Diakhaby, were ready to apologise to angry fans.

However, Gaya was seen gesturing to his teammates and singled out the defender, declaring: "Diak! Diak! Don't do that."

The result leaves Valencia in the middle of a relegation battle.
