Ousmane Dembele addressed his Barcelona teammates after signing a new contract.

Dembele performed a major U-turn by accepting a pay-cut and penning terms last week.

Mundo Deportivo says after his media presentation, Dembele also made a little speech to teammate in the dressing room.

He told his teammates he was very happy to continue at Barca, with the team and coach Xavi. He insisted that he was very committed to the team. Finally, he ended his speech by saying that he had asked for the captain's armband...

...something which surprised and shocked the Culé locker room who did not expect such an announcement. But Dembele then explained that it was a joke, which led to the squad erupting in laughter and applause.
