Udinese youngster Semedo drawing inspiration from Beto

Portuguese striker Vivaldo Semedo is happy with his first six months at Udinese.

Semedo joined in the summer from Sporting CP.

Speaking on Udinese Tonight, the 17-year-old began: “The first difference is that here at Udinese I'm training with the first team while back in Portugal I worked with my age group.

“The football is more technical in Portugal. In Italy it's a lot more tactical. I can learn a lot here.

The striker also spoke about his special relationship with fellow countryman Beto.

“He's helping me a lot both on and off the pitch. He's not just a player – he's family to me."

So far this season Semedo has been turning out for the Primavera side and joining the senior squad for training and on matchday, but with he has one target clear in mind.

“I'm working hard to make by Serie A debut. That's my goal for the season."
