Udinese coach Andrea Sottil was pleased with victory over Sampdoria.

The Monday night result confirmed Sampdoria's relegation.

Sottil said, "I'm happy with the result, we wanted to give continuity in performance, approach and mentality, as I said yesterday.

"We knew it would be a tricky match, the result wasn't obvious. We were good at putting the match on the right track straight away and then we managed the advantage well, demonstrating growth and continuity.
