Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo is hoping that he impressed manager Jurgen Klopp with his hat-trick for the U21s against Middlesbrough on Monday.
The 18-year-old, who spent the first part of the current season on loan at Wolves, made his senior debut in the FA Cup third-round tie with Exeter City but has found opportunities in the senior setup hard to come by since.
Ojo scored his first senior goal for the Reds in the replay of that tie at Anfield and after firing home a treble for the U21s, is looking to get back into Jurgen Klopp's good books.
"Hopefully I can impress the manager whenever I get the opportunity," Ojo said.
"I have to keep trying to do well for the under-21s, keep learning and push on from there.
"It was nice to get a hat-trick but my main focus was to get the three points.
"I should have scored even more goals and I need to work on that but it was a great win for us."
