Alex Berenguer was delighted after Athletic Bilbao's win against Girona.

Berenguer scored twice in the 3-2 win on Monday night.

He later said: "Playing at home and getting these points is very important to be at the top. We have a stronghold at home, we play like hell and with brutal pressure. There are a lot of games left, but along these lines we will go high.

"Everyone on the team showed that we can play and that's why we are up there.

"I have always made my position clear about continuing here. That people love you and sing your name from the stands is appreciated."
