Alberto Moreno's performance against Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday was certainly a talking point for Liverpool fans.
The Reds squandered a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with the La Liga club.
Moreno gave away the free-kick that resulted in Sevilla's equaliser from Wissam Ben Yedder. The left-back then tripped Ben Yedder inside the box ten minutes later, which the Frenchman duly slotted home, before Guido Pizarro equalised three minutes into stoppage time.
Some fans were scathing in their criticism of the Spaniard…
I don't want to see Moreno playing left back again. Don't care about his good form last games or best buddies with Coutinho.

Lampard has called it. The defeat is on Moreno. If we managed to see out the first 15 mins of the second half then victory is ours. As soon as we concede, panic sets in, the crowd is lifted and the rest in inevitable.

Two things I'll never been convinced by, Moreno's miraculous improvement and Hendo being a good captain.

Stephen Hawking would make a better left back than Alberto Moreno#sevliv#Liverpool

The Sevilla comeback that stems from an Alberto Moreno mistake... Haven't seen that before.

Moreno managed to eclipse Mugabe resigning. You can't be a bigger villain than that.

Sampaoli clearly uttered the code words to turn on Moreno's Sevilla sleeper agent device.

While others felt that berating Moreno for one poor display was unfair…
Jordan Henderson has been much worse than Alberto Moreno tonight.

Yes Moreno had a stinker, but it doesn't undo all the good work he's done in improving so far this season. He was always going to have a bad game at some point. It's how he responds that will show what he's about.

Don't really want to see shit about Moreno. Emotional time. Distractions. It happens. He's one player. There were ten others

Moreno's been our most reliable defender this season. He was really poor tonight but the desire of some to ignore his form just to be “right" is truly bizarre. #LFC

Alberto Moreno off - had a shocking second half . BUT ... he has still been very good this season.

A bad 2 mins for Moreno. They have been rare lately. Head up lad.
