Transfers that Could Dominate the Headlines

- the following is a sponsored article

The end of the season is fast approaching, and that can only mean one thing; the opening of the summer transfer window.

It is a time when football fans can dream of their club bringing in a new star that could see them achieve something special, while it could also be a nightmare that could result in their club's losing their star players. There's nothing like it in world sport; it can help you dream and also cause nightmares. But which players will be making all the headlines this summer?

Eden Hazard

The Chelsea man could be on the move this summer after continually being linked with a move to Real Madrid. Hazard himself hasn't exactly played this down, and instead put fuel on the fire by admitting his admiration for Zinedine Zidane. It already looks unlikely that the Blues will be able to keep hold of their star man, but failure to qualify for the Champions League either through the Europa League or a top-four finish would almost certainly mean that he will be leaving.

He has been in remarkable form this season, but the usage of the Belgium international Maurizio Sarri has been questionable. He has continuously pushed Hazard into a central position when he performs better on the left wing. His goal against West Ham at Stamford Bridge in the club's 2-0 win could be a sign of what Madrid fans will be seeing next season.

Declan Rice

West Ham's young midfielder has been on a rollercoaster ride all season. The 20-year-old has been in the headlines throughout the season, as the British press has pushed for the midfielder to declare his international career to either the Republic of Ireland or England. However, when that question was finally answered in February, the new issue of where he will be playing next season has arisen.

He has been a revelation in the Hammers midfield and could become a big-money target for the Premier League's top four. His ability to win the ball back effectively and be positive on the ball have been just two reasons that he is one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world. Either of the Manchester clubs remain the most likely destination; with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to revamp his squad, and Manchester City looking for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.

Jadon Sancho

Sancho has caught the imagination of all England fans this season after making his debut against Croatia in October 2018. His domestic form for Borussia Dortmund means that they have a good chance of winning the league title, and he tops the rankings for the most assists in the Bundesliga. His skill and speed have caused nightmares for every defender that he has come up against, and has made a mockery of the decision by Pep Guardiola to let the Englishman leave the club.

This summer he could be moving to the other side of Manchester, with United interested in adding Sancho to their youthful front line. The one stumbling block that could come with the move may be the fee that Dortmund will demand; with reports suggesting the 19-year-old may become the first £100 million English player.
