Toulouse striker Martin Braithwaite is a summer target for Sunderland.
The Daily Mail says Sunderland are ready to bid for Braithwaite at the end of the season.
Club scouts watched the Denmark international in action against Scotland at Hampden Park on Tuesday night and have been impressed with his performances in the French league so far.
Braithwaite, 24, has scored nine goals this season but has been playing mainly as a winger and his preferred role is as a centre forward.
