Tottenham's Kane nets hat-trick as England U21s cruise past San Marino

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for the England U21 side as they eased past San Marino 4-0 in Serravalle on Thursday.

The Young Lions accounted for the ten-man San Marino in UEFA European U21 Championship qualifying to go second in Group 1 with two wins from three outings.

Manchester United defender Michael Keane opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he directed Raheem Sterling's low drive home from close range before Tottenham's Kane grabbed the highlights.

The 20-year old converted from the penalty spot after San Marino keeper Andrea Manzaroli was sent off on the stroke of half-time.

The Young Lions continued to push in the second half and went three ahead when Kane followed up his initial saved effort to slot home in the 66th minute before wrapping it up with a minute remaining by finishing a cross from Spurs club mate Tom Carroll, currently with QPR.
