Cardiff City skipper Steven Caulker is being linked with a return to Tottenham.
The Sunday Mirror says Caulker was sold to Cardiff for £9million last July, but after relegation the Welsh club are reported to be £160m in debt and have still to pay part of the fee for the 22-year-old.
Tottenham have the option of taking Caulker back to save Cardiff paying any more, while Liverpool are also keen on him.
The issue will be discussed by director of football Franco Baldini and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
