Former Wales boss John Toshack says Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs isn't ready for his old job.
Influential voices at the FA of Wales see the 36-year-old, capped 64 times, as having the star quality to reunite the nation - possibly working alongside Wales Under-21 boss Brian Flynn.
But Toshack fears his lack of coaching experience could be critical.
He said: "An ex-player going into management should start off at the bottom, I really do think that.
"You should learn your trade down there and work your way up."
