Newcastle Jets coach Branko Culina believes yesterday's improved performance against Adelaide United may kick-start a form reversal.
The Jets were held to a draw by the Reds after going ahead in the 6th minute and Culina saw the match as a potential turning point in the season, especially with the imminent return of some key players.
"[It will] be great to have Ben Kantarovski back - he's a quality player," he said.
"We've got Sean Rooney back as well and Jason Hoffman, so for the first time we'll have actually a bit of competition for places which will be very nice.
"[It] looks like no excuses for us from now on."
The Jets currently sit ninth on the A-League table and will be keen to add further improvement to the bright showing in Adelaide yesterday.
