These brilliant Leeds fans: Bielsa tribute made in Argentine newspaper

Leeds United fans bought a full page in the local Argentine newspaper to pay tribute to former manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa was sacked at the end of February by Leeds and replaced by Jesse Marsch.

A group of Leeds supporters paid for a page in the Argentine newspaper La Capital to thank Bielsa. T

The newspaper La Capital, by the way, is from Rosario, Bielsa's hometown.

The tribute read:

"Thank you, Marcelo.

"Under the August 2018 sun, we were mesmerised by a football we didn't know was possible. And we felt something again. You reminded us that football can be beautiful and that a team can be bigger than the sum of its parts. What's on your side before you do. Side before self. And you gave us a lot more than football. You guide us through a pandemic and approached us while we were separated.

"You've shown us that integrity and decency are important, both in good and in bad times. You accepted our fears and turned our despair into hope and our footballers into heroes.

"You've improved us all. You restored our pride, gave us joy, and created beautiful memories that will last for a lifetime.

"And it was beautiful, Marcelo. It's always going to be so beautiful.

"Thank you."
