United players are said to have been very confused by some of the manager's tactics.

The selection of Victor Lindelof as a left-back, when Sergio Reguilon was on the bench, was particularly bemusing.

Bruno Fernandes playing as a wide right midfielder, which has never been his strong suit, was also questioned.
