Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor is in line for a first team recall for this weekend's battle with Wigan Athletic.

He has not played for the first team since serving a three-match ban for his horror challenge on Arsenal's Eduardo.

But Taylor is in line for a recall at Wigan because Blues are without suspended centre-backs Liam Ridgewell and Franck Queudrue. He was jeered by some of an 1,800-strong crowd at Aston Villa as City lost 1-0.
